Renovations are an amazing way to change the look of your home, but it might not be as pretty as you expected right off the bat. Once the contractors are done with their work, they leave behind plenty of dust and debris. While your home may look amazing underneath the visible dirt, you need a good renovation cleaning before you can enjoy your new home.

What does renovation cleaning mean and what does it entail?

Get Fresh Air

We start by ventilating your home. After the dust and dirt floats around your home, it will feel musty and even hard to breathe. Open the windows and let some of the musty air leave. This is crucial before we even come in and start the cleaning process, especially if you’ll spend any time in the home as breathing in construction dust is bad for your lungs.

Get Rid of Dirt

Once the home has some nice fresh air flowing through it, we’ll come in and wipe all of the surface dirt away. This is an important step. If you came in with wet cloths and mops right away, as is so tempting to do, you would embed the dirt into your countertops and floors. Instead, we’ll come through with quality cloths and high powered vacuums and eliminate all of the dirt. We’ll get in all of the nooks and crannies, including high up on the shelves, in the corners of the floor, and behind the appliances. You’ll be amazed at how much dirt and debris we can wipe away!

Get it Wet

Once we remove the surface dirt, it’s time to get really down with the dirt and wash all areas including floors, countertops, tables, cabinet surfaces, and even inside the cabinets. We’ll wash every washable area with gentle soap and warm water to get rid of the dust and the germs – no one wants germs left behind!

Get Rid of Stains

As a part of our renovating cleaning, we will go through your house and look for any stains. Our staff has many tricks to remove stains quickly and easily, so don’t worry if you find areas that the construction workers were less than careful!

Clean the Bathrooms

Certain areas of your home will need a little more TLC than others. For example, if you had bathroom renovations, we’ll clean the bathtub, shower, floor, countertops, and cabinets. We’ll scrub in the bathroom grout, get in between each tile and disinfect all surfaces in the bathroom.

Miscellaneous Tasks

As a part of our renovation cleaning, we’ll come in and empty out the home of any leftover trash or debris. Even the most careful construction workers inevitably leave stuff behind that needs to be disposed, but we’ll handle it for you.
